The NOAA Satellite & Information Service (referred to as NESDIS) is a line office under the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) The National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) is dedicated to providing timely access to global environmental data from satellites and other sources to promote, protect, and enhance the Nation's (United States) economy, security, environment, and quality of life. NESDIS manages NOAA's constellation of environmental satellites and their subsequent data.
